F-tone' cyclic or "colorless" AWG takes advantage of the AWG repeat orders and can work in any predefined channel band. In other words, the same colorless AWG can work on channels 1 to 8 or 9 to 16 or 17 to 24, and so on.
Cyclic AWGs potentially replace up to 12 different part numbers with one interchangeable part, thereby greatly simplifying inventory management. F-tone offers 50 GHz and 100 GHz cyclic AWGs with 8 skip 0 channel plans.
